| $5,000 - Here Are A Few Ways To Use It |
Did you know that $5,000 can save you thousands of dollars? Here's how ---
Example: You have a $300,000 Mortgage at a 6% Interest Rate and you have had that mortgage for 5 Years.
1. Pay the $5,000 in one lump sum to pay down the principal amount on your mortgage. By doing that you will pay off your mortgage 12 months earlier and save $16,714 in interest.
Or...
2. Deposit the $5,000 in a savings account making 5% per year. Each year take $250 of the accrued savings interest and pay down your principal. Doing that will pay off your mortgage 7 months earlier and save you $7,569 in interest . And you would still have your original $5,000 in the bank.

In the 90's we had Seinfeld's "Yadda Yadda Yadda" and in this Millenium we have "Blog" this, "Blog" that, "Do you have a Blog?"
Having been in the mortgage industry for 22 years I have happily grown with an industry that I love and is never the same. Mortgage lenders, loan products, guidelines, timelines, turn times have been an ever-changing landscape.
I have gone from writing an application by hand to having it printed directly from my computer. I used to carry a cell phone the size of a small country, and now I go through withdrawal if I haven't checked my Blackberry in 30 seconds (I'm not so sure that's progress).
Two years ago I created a web site, last year this newsletter had its maiden voyage and now I have a Blog. Please visit Own Your Home to place a comment or ask a question. I will be happy to respond! |
