Homeowners Insurance - Are You Covered?

Dear Ellen,
Mary Snider's article about insurance coverage is a must read. If you are thinking about selling your home in the next 12 months now is the time to start prepping your home and Flavia Campos helps you begin in her article "Getting Your House Ready To Sell".

Next month you will receive two e-mails from me. One will be a press release with very exciting news (shh.. it's a secret and I can't tell yet) and the other will be the monthly newsletter with more great articles and information for you.

Please don't keep us a secret, if you or anyone you know may be interested in obtaining or refinancing a mortgage, your referral will be greatly appreciated. Give us a call at 301-728-5505

Have a great summer!

Am I Covered?

insurance umbrellaSome of you may be asking yourself, "Does my insurance coverage fit my needs?" "Do I have enough coverage to replace my home in the event of a serious loss?" "What affects my premium?"

These questions create a need for you to regularly review your Homeowners Insurance and to consider other questions such as: "Have you recently remodeled or improved your home?" "Has the rate of inflation risen since your last appraisal?" "What influences the building construction costs in your area?"

Getting Your House Ready To Sell
By: Flavia Campos, President, Soothing Spaces, Inc.
soothing spacesWanting to stage  your house to sell but have no idea where to start? Then Let's start at the beginning.

First, think of all of the pros and cons of your home and jot them down. List everything you find nice and everything you do not find so nice.  What are the qualities and shortcomings of your house? Bring them all out. Our goal will be to highlight the qualities and improve the shortcomings.

There are three basic elements that everyone looks for when shopping for a new home:

  1. Space - Floor space is a priority
  2. Uncluttered Space - Envisioning the potential of a home is more difficult if potential buyers see clutter
  3. Appeal - We all like the look and feel of a harmonic environment
Let us now look at how we can transform your home and bring these three elements into your house before you hold an open house.
